Dr Abdulgabbar Hamid, a member of the MBI Al Jaber alumni, has recently been awarded a fellowship in Neuroradiology at the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, USA.
Abdulgabbar was awarded an MBI Al Jaber Scholarship in 2008 and came from Yemen to study for an MSc in Advanced Neuro-Imaging at University College London, which he completed in 2009.
During 2000, he was awarded a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Sana’a, Yemen specialising in Radiology and in 2007, he became a member of the Arab Board for Health Specialization.
After graduating from UCL, Abdulgabbar went on to sit the First Royal College of Radiologists’ examination (FRCR). The Royal College of Radiologists is the professional body responsible for the fields of clinical oncology and clinical radiology in the United Kingdom.
Before becoming a Fellow at the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Abdulgabbar distinguished himself as a Consultant Neuroradiologist in the Middle East.
